OUR HISTORY

George Street is Sydney’s original high street and remains one of the busiest streets in the CBD. Since 1788 it has been Sydney's main thoroughfare and, in the 1800s, cemented the position as Sydney’s premier shopping street.

ISPT acquired three office buildings on George Street in 2006 and began to explore the possibilities of connecting them. By 2016, the transformation of George Place had begun, uniting the three buildings through one dynamic super lobby.  

In 2018, renowned architects Fender Katsalidis completed a comprehensive redesign that transformed the ground floor into a united super lobby. A brand-new precinct was unveiled for a community of office workers and shoppers in the heart of Sydney. 

Spaces

George Place is home to a fully–equipped wellness studio in a commercial building – TONE, offering 30 complimentary yoga, Pilates, HIIT, barre, TRX and meditation classes each week. 

HIVE business lounge at George Place is a bright, eclectic co-working space. Large windows overlook iconic George Street and the GPO in a welcoming and innovative work environment. 

The Retreat is a technology-free zone available for the precinct community to relax and unwind. The tranquil space is perfect for professionals that are looking for a short break throughout the week. 

A delicious meal and cup of coffee are never far away from George Place. Bring ease to the working day with a variety of options only a short distance from this buzzing hub.
